My works are multiple layers of color on textured surfaces. I apply layers of color in order to create harmonies of the three forms of light available to an artist. My interest is in integrating the lights of surface, nature, and inspiration.

Inclusion of the figure is to create a sense of communion. I am interested in creating a shared experience with the witness.  The witness can embody, innocence or grace or wisdom; or gratitude or age or a combination thereof.  Sharing the viewing experience thru the central figure allows the viewer access to the realms of awe and beauty ...  both external and internal.  Often there is the possibility of a universal or transcendent experience.  This is my attempt.
